A Coastal Town’s Library Gets a Second Life

The building had been closed for nearly a decade before a group of residents pooled savings, volunteer hours, and donated materials to reopen it as a public library and community space.

Since reopening, the space has hosted everything from reading groups to job-search workshops, and neighboring towns say they are studying the project as a template.
