The rescue

One adult human trafficking victim was rescued during the operation, and three children were placed into protective custody. Sandy Springs police said the charges "highlight the serious nature of human trafficking and crimes involving children." The department's Criminal Investigations Division, Street Crimes Unit, K9 Unit, Narcotics and Vice Unit, and Intelligence Unit were all involved.

What's next

Police described the investigation as still active and said no further details were available for release as of Friday afternoon. It wasn't immediately clear whether any of the four defendants had been assigned attorneys.
